Becoming an Equestrian
Pickering Horse Centre offers English riding lessons with a focus on Hunter, Jumper and Equitation.
Our mission is to develop riders using the fundamental tools to support progression from beginner riding to advanced, using Long Term Equestrian Development (LTED) as developed by the Coaching Association of Canada in partnership with Equestrian Canada.
Lessons offered from complete beginner to advanced competition riders, starting at age 7 to Adult lessons
All lessons taught by Equestrian Canada trained Instructors & Coaches, with emphasis on sound basics of equitation and good horsemanship
Safety of both horse and rider is emphasized for all lessons
Riders will enjoy working with our 30 experienced Schoolie horses, of all different breeds, colors and sizes

Registration is accepted upon payment by Visa, MasterCard, Debit, E-Transfer, Cheque or Cash. Lesson times & days vary depending on level.

GROUP LESSONS
Group lessons focus on learning and consolidating skills with maximum time in the saddle as well as visual learning opportunities interacting with other riders and horses.
Lesson price includes four 1-hour lessons per month
Available year-round on weeknights and Saturdays
$295 + HST per month

REDUCED DAYTIME RATES
Lesson price includes four half-hour lessons per month
Available from September - June, Monday - Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Private: $295 + HST per month

SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Offered only as a second-lesson option to students currently enrolled in a group lesson. Semi-Private lessons focus on building specific skills in a one on one environment
Lesson price includes four half-hour lessons per month
Available all year round on early weeknights
$340 + HST per month
